Custom Menu Links: put your own tools inside every client's account

Add a link to the sub-account sidebar so clients reach your SOPs, a Loom library or a support form without leaving GoHighLevel.

Custom Menu Links let you add an item to the left sidebar of every sub-account, right next to Contacts and Opportunities. The link can open a URL in a new tab or load a page inside an iframe within the platform, so clients never feel like they left your software.

This matters because most agencies dump onboarding docs, support links and training videos into an email that gets buried. A menu link puts that resource where the client already looks every day. You can point it at a shared Google Doc, a Loom playlist, a Stripe payment page or a form for support requests, and it shows up the moment you push it to accounts.

The caveat: if you load a page in an iframe, the destination site has to allow being embedded. Some tools block this with an X-Frame-Options header, and the link will show a blank panel instead of the page. Test the iframe option in one sub-account before you roll it out everywhere, and keep the plain new-tab option as a fallback for sites that will not embed.

How to use it

  1. Go to Agency View > Settings > Custom Menu Link
  2. Click Add and name the link exactly how it should read in the sidebar
  3. Paste the destination URL and choose iframe or new tab
  4. Set the icon and the sub-accounts or snapshot it applies to
  5. Open a test sub-account to confirm the page loads before pushing wider

Who it helps

Agencies and consultants managing multiple client sub-accounts who want a single place to surface training, support and tools.

Related: Custom Menu Links are usually rolled out through the same snapshot update process.
