GoHighLevel SaaS Pro and SaaS mode: when an agency should move up

SaaS Pro turns GoHighLevel into software you sell. What SaaS mode, rebilling, the white-label app and the advanced AI actually give you, and the point where the $497 plan pays for itself.

Short answer: SaaS Pro is the plan you move to when you stop hosting client accounts and start selling GoHighLevel as your own software. For $497 a month, $200 more than Unlimited, you get SaaS mode with self-serve signup and plan tiers, rebilling of usage at a markup, the advanced AI features and split testing. The step up pays for itself once rebilling margin and a handful of subscribers cover the difference. HighLevel offers a dedicated trial if you want to try the SaaS Pro plan before committing.

How SaaS mode works

You define plans (say Basic, Pro, Premium), attach a price and a snapshot to each, and publish a signup page under your brand. A client signs up, pays through your connected Stripe account, and HighLevel creates their sub-account from the snapshot automatically. Usage they generate for texting, email and AI is charged to their card at the markup you set, and the margin is yours. You can also convert existing sub-accounts to SaaS clients. The result is monthly recurring revenue with the platform doing the provisioning.

Where the math tips

Take your current usage across client accounts and apply the markup you would charge. Add the subscription revenue from the clients who would move onto a self-serve plan. If that exceeds $200 a month, SaaS Pro is the cheaper plan even before you count the AI features. For most agencies with more than a handful of active clients it does, quickly. Read our plan comparison for the full picture, and if you are already on Unlimited you can upgrade in-app from your agency settings.

What SaaS mode does not do

It runs fixed-price plans and rebills usage. It does not meter anything else. If your offer is priced per conversation handled, per seat, per location or per lead delivered, you need a billing layer outside HighLevel. We built one for an agency client that connects GoHighLevel to Stripe through n8n with a Supabase ledger, so usage is counted, invoices create themselves and the CRM shows billing status. The case study and the reference architecture explain the design.

The white-label mobile app

Clients on Unlimited and SaaS Pro use the HighLevel mobile app under HighLevel's name. The white-label mobile app add-on publishes the app under your brand in the app stores, so your clients open your software on their phone. It matters most once you are in SaaS mode and the brand is the product. HighLevel runs periodic promotions on it; the details are on HighLevel's white-label mobile app page.

Snapshots, updates and support at scale

SaaS mode multiplies whatever is in your snapshot, including the mistakes. Before you publish plans, read how to update snapshots across sub-accounts safely, and consider whether HighLevel's paid support belongs in your stack once dozens of clients depend on the platform. Our agency engineering service handles the architecture, the billing layer and the integrations your snapshot cannot.

Frequently asked

What is SaaS mode in GoHighLevel?

A feature of the SaaS Pro plan that lets an agency sell sub-accounts as its own software: branded signup pages, plan tiers, automatic sub-account creation, Stripe-connected subscriptions and rebilling of SMS, email and AI usage at a markup.

Do I need SaaS Pro to white-label GoHighLevel?

No. Unlimited already gives you a white-label domain and branded desktop app. SaaS Pro is about selling and billing the platform as your own product, not just branding it.

Is there a SaaS Pro trial?

Yes. HighLevel offers a trial of the SaaS Pro plan so you can configure SaaS mode before committing. We link to it in this article.

Can SaaS mode do usage-based billing?

Not on its own. It rebills usage at a markup and runs fixed-price plans. Metered billing per conversation, per seat or per location needs middleware. Our GoHighLevel and Stripe usage billing case study shows how we build it.
