Is the HighLevel Certification worth it? From someone who holds it
What the HighLevel Certification program actually tests, who should earn it, what it signals when you hire, and how to verify that a partner really holds it.
Short answer: yes, if you build GoHighLevel accounts for a living or for your employer. The HighLevel Certification program is the only credential issued by HighLevel itself, the Admin track covers the whole platform and the practical assessment is real work, not a quiz. It is not worth it for a business owner who runs one account; your time is better spent on the process than the exam. If you want to earn it, you can enroll in the HighLevel Certification program here. If you want to hire someone who has it, the directory link at the end shows you how to check.
What the program is
HighLevel runs its own certification program with tracks for the people who build and sell on the platform. The Admin certification is the core one: it tests whether you can take an empty sub-account and turn it into a working system, with the phone system registered, calendars configured, pipelines and workflows built, forms and funnels live and reputation management running. Assessment combines a timed exam on platform knowledge with a practical build that is reviewed by HighLevel. Certified admins are listed in HighLevel's public directory with a badge that links back to the listing.
Why we bothered
We had been building on GoHighLevel for clients before the program existed, so the question was fair: what does a certificate add? Three things, it turned out. The study forced us through corners of the platform we had never needed, and some of them became standard parts of our builds. The practical made us document a build the way HighLevel expects, which improved how we hand accounts over to clients. And the directory listing is the one place a prospective client can verify a claim without taking our word for it. Our listing is linked from our credentials page.
Who should earn it
Agency staff and freelancers. Yes. It raises the floor of what you know, it is a hiring signal, and clients increasingly search the directory.
In-house operators at multi-location groups. Usually yes. If someone on your team owns the account, the certification is the quickest structured way to learn the whole platform rather than the parts you stumbled into.
Business owners running one account. Usually no. You need one process working well, not platform breadth. Spend the hours on your follow-up sequence, or on a fixed-price audit that tells you what to fix.
What it does not tell you
When you hire, treat the certification as a filter, not a verdict. It tells you the person knows what a workflow trigger is and how A2P registration works. It does not tell you whether they can design a follow-up process for a med spa, keep a Zenoti sync from creating duplicates, or write scope that protects you. Ask to see a documented build. Ask how they handle changes to scope. Ask who owns the account and the integrations when the engagement ends. Our guide to agency pricing lists the questions in full.
How to verify a certification claim
Every certified admin appears in the HighLevel directory. Ask for the link, or search the directory by name. A badge image on a website proves nothing on its own; the badge should link to the directory entry. Ours does: Yaakov Oranski, Tampa, Certified Admins.
Disclosure: Yotomations is a HighLevel affiliate and certified partner. Links to gohighlevel.com marked as affiliate links may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. It does not change what we recommend: we tell clients to use the plan that fits and to skip add-ons they do not need.
Certified GoHighLevel Admin and Partner. Koby designs CRM migrations, two-way integrations, billing systems and AI agents for service businesses, and writes from the engagements described on this site.

Frequently asked
What does the HighLevel Certification cover?
The Admin certification covers account and sub-account setup, contacts and pipelines, calendars, workflows and triggers, phone system and A2P, funnels and forms, and reputation. Assessment combines a timed exam with a practical build that is reviewed.
How long does it take to get certified?
It depends on experience. Someone who already runs GoHighLevel accounts daily can prepare in a few weeks around their work. Someone new to the platform should budget a couple of months of study and practice.
Does a certified admin mean the agency is good?
It means at least one person there knows the platform well. Judge the agency on the work: ask to see a documented build, ask how they handle scope and ownership, and check the certification in the HighLevel directory.
Is Yotomations certified?
Yes. Our founder Yaakov (Koby) Oranski is a HighLevel Certified Admin and listed in the HighLevel directory. The credential page on this site links to the listing so you can verify it.
