Push a snapshot update to linked sub-accounts without rebuilding them
A snapshot you have already installed stays linked to the accounts it created, so you can push changes to all of them in one step and choose what to overwrite.
Agencies often treat snapshots as a one-time install: load it into a new sub-account, then edit each account by hand forever after. But a snapshot remembers which sub-accounts were created from it. When you improve a workflow or add a form in your template account, refresh the snapshot, then push the update to the linked sub-accounts. GoHighLevel shows you what changed and lets you choose, per asset, whether to overwrite the version in each account or skip it.
The safe pattern is to push in rings. Update one test sub-account first and check the workflows still fire. Then a small group. Then everyone. Never overwrite assets your clients customize, such as their calendars or their email templates, and version your snapshot names so you can tell which build an account is on.
This is the difference between running 40 accounts and maintaining 40 accounts.
How to use it
- Make the changes in your template sub-account.
- Agency view > Snapshots, refresh the snapshot from that account.
- Choose Push Update to Linked Accounts and select the sub-accounts.
- Review the asset list, skip anything clients customize, and push a test account first.
