Train Conversation AI with a Knowledge Base Before It Answers Leads

Conversation AI is only as accurate as the facts you give it, so put your hours, service area and policies in a Knowledge Base before it talks to real leads.

Train Conversation AI with a Knowledge Base First

GoHighLevel's Conversation AI can only answer from facts you give it. Build a Knowledge Base before your bot talks to real leads.

Conversation AI can only answer from what it knows. The Knowledge Base is where you give it your facts: business hours, service area, what you do and do not offer, and how you handle cancellations. Without those facts, the bot falls back on general answers that sound confident and can be wrong for your business.

Most bad bot replies come from missing information, not a badly written prompt. When a lead asks whether you cover their area or charge a call-out fee, and the bot has nothing to check, you get a vague answer or a guess. Write the answer down once and every conversation can use it.

Keep each entry short and plain, with one fact per entry. Do not paste your whole website if any of it is out of date, because the bot repeats what you give it. When a price, hour or policy changes, update the entry the same day. Then test the bot with the five questions customers ask most, and add a new entry for every answer that comes back weak. Do this while the bot is still in Suggestive mode, so you review its drafts before anything reaches a customer.

How to use it

  1. Open the Knowledge Base section under AI Agents in your sub-account
  2. Add one entry each for hours, service area, services offered and cancellation policy
  3. Attach the Knowledge Base to your Conversation AI bot
  4. Test the five most common customer questions and note any weak answers
  5. Add or reword an entry for each weak answer, then test again
