GoHighLevel free trial: how to get 30 days and what to test

The standard trial is 14 days. The Bootcamp trial is 30, with live onboarding sessions. Here is how to get it and how to spend it so you know by the end whether GoHighLevel fits.

Short answer: GoHighLevel gives every new account a 14-day free trial on the plan you choose. If you want more time, sign up through the HighLevel Bootcamp, which extends the trial to 30 days and adds live onboarding sessions. Either way, the trial only tells you something if one real process runs on real leads before it ends. Below is the week-by-week plan we give owners who ask us how to test the platform.

The two trials

Standard trial. Start at gohighlevel.com, pick Starter, Unlimited or SaaS Pro, enter a card and you have 14 days. The account is fully functional; the only limit is the clock.

Bootcamp trial. The HighLevel Bootcamp is an onboarding program with live sessions run by HighLevel's team. Accounts created through the Bootcamp offer get a 30-day trial instead of 14. If you have never used the platform and you are setting it up yourself, take the 30 days. The extra two weeks matter mostly because of A2P registration, explained below.

Week one: make texting work

Buy a phone number and register your A2P 10DLC brand and campaign on day one. Approval takes days, sometimes longer, and until it lands your text messages will be filtered or blocked. Owners who skip this spend their trial concluding that GoHighLevel texting does not work, when what they are seeing is an unregistered number. Our A2P approval guide lists what your website needs to show to be approved the first time. While you wait, connect your domain for email, import a small clean list of contacts, and build one pipeline that mirrors how you actually sell.

Week two: one process end to end

Pick the process with the most money in it. For almost every service business that is new lead follow-up: a lead comes in from your website, Yelp, Google or a form, gets a text and an email within a minute, gets a call attempt, and is followed up on a schedule until they book or say no. Build that workflow, connect one real lead source to it, and let it run on live leads. Do not build reminders, reviews and reactivation yet. One process working beats five half-built.

Week three: measure and add

By now you will have a few dozen real leads through the workflow. Look at the conversation view for each one. Did the messages arrive? Did people reply? Did anyone book? Fix what broke. Then add appointment confirmations and reminders on the calendar you booked into, and a review request that fires after the appointment is marked complete. Our free health check is a useful checklist at this point.

Week four: decide

With 30 days you now have a real answer: leads went in, follow-up happened, appointments were booked, and you have the data in the account. Compare it to what your previous setup did over a similar period. If it worked, stay on monthly billing for a quarter, then consider the annual plan. If it did not, you will know why, and it is usually the build rather than the platform.

What people get wrong in the trial

  • Importing 30,000 contacts on day one and texting them. That is a reactivation campaign and it needs consent handling, DNC screening and warm-up. Read how to do it properly.
  • Installing a marketplace snapshot with 60 workflows and trying to understand all of them. Start empty.
  • Not connecting a real lead source. Test leads you create yourself do not tell you anything about deliverability or response rates.
  • Judging the platform on the email builder. It is not the strength. Texting, calling and booking are.

If you would rather not do this yourself

Most of our clients start a trial and book the Speed to Lead Sprint in the same week. We build the follow-up system, register A2P, connect the lead sources and hand over a documented account in two weeks, for a fixed price. The trial then answers the only question that matters, which is whether the process works for your business, instead of whether you had time to build it.

Frequently asked

How long is the GoHighLevel free trial?

14 days by default. The HighLevel Bootcamp offer extends the trial to 30 days and includes live onboarding sessions. Both trials require a card and convert to a paid plan when they end unless you cancel.

Do I need a credit card for the trial?

Yes. The trial starts on the plan you pick and bills at the end of the trial period unless you cancel from the billing settings.

What is the HighLevel Bootcamp?

A structured onboarding program run by HighLevel with live sessions that walk new accounts through setup, automation and going live. Signing up through the Bootcamp offer gives a 30-day trial instead of 14.

Can Yotomations set up my trial account?

Yes. Owners often book our Speed to Lead Sprint at the start of a trial so the account is producing results by the time the first invoice arrives. We can also run a 30-minute call to plan the trial for free.
