GoHighLevel's New SEO and AEO Tab: How to Fix Missing Schema on Your Website and Funnels

HighLevel's new SEO and AEO tab shows schema coverage for every page of a website or funnel and can generate schema with AI in bulk. Here is how to use it without overwriting schema you already wrote.

Short answer: Every GoHighLevel website and funnel now has an SEO & AEO tab (Sites, then Websites or Funnels, then pick one). It shows a schema coverage rating for the whole site, lists each page with its schema status, and lets you generate schema with AI for many pages at once. Review the results before you click Save and publish, because generating schema on a page that already has it replaces the old schema entirely.

What the SEO and AEO tab shows

Before this change, schema lived inside each page in the builder, so checking a 20-page site meant opening 20 pages. The new dashboard puts it on one screen:

  • Schema coverage card: a rating of Needs work, Getting there, Good or Excellent, with counts of pages that are up to date, might be outdated, or have no schema.
  • Page list: each page's schema types, its status (Up to date, Might be outdated, No schema, Unpublished or Unsaved) and when it was last updated.
  • Search and filters: find pages by name or path and filter by status.
  • Stale flag: a page edited and republished at least twice since its schema was created is marked Might be outdated.

Schema you already added in the page builder appears automatically, and the two places stay in sync.

How to fix missing schema in about ten minutes

  1. Open Sites, then Websites or Funnels, select the site, and open the SEO & AEO tab.
  2. Filter by No schema. These are the quickest wins.
  3. Select those pages and click Generate schema. Progress shows live, and nothing goes live yet.
  4. Open each result and check the facts: business name, address, phone, hours, prices and service names. AI schema is only as accurate as the page it reads.
  5. Click Save and publish. Until you do, the page shows as Unsaved.
  6. Then filter by Might be outdated and review those one at a time.

The overwrite trap, and other things to watch

HighLevel's own note is the important one: running Generate schema on a page that already has schema replaces it entirely. If someone hand-wrote FAQ, Product or LocalBusiness schema for a key page, generate only on the No schema pages and edit the others by hand with the schema tag editor. A few more checks:

  • Do not mark up what is not on the page. Reviews, ratings and prices in schema should match what visitors can see, or Google can ignore or penalize the markup.
  • Test after publishing. Run a few URLs through Google's Rich Results Test, and watch the Enhancements reports in Search Console over the following weeks.
  • Funnels count too. Landing pages built as funnels get the same tab, and they are often the pages with no schema at all.

Why schema matters more in 2026

Schema is structured data that tells search engines what a page is about: the business, its services, its FAQs, its prices. It can make pages eligible for rich results in Google, and it helps AI answer engines understand and cite a business, which is the "AEO" (answer engine optimization) in the tab's name. It will not rank a weak page on its own, but on a local service site with good content it removes one more reason for search and AI tools to skip you.

If your site has more pages than time, our GoHighLevel account audit ($497, fixed price) covers website and funnel setup along with the rest of the account. For the other changes HighLevel announced this month, see our running list of LevelUp 2026 announcements.

Frequently asked

Where is the schema dashboard in GoHighLevel?

Go to Sites, then Websites or Funnels, select a site or funnel, and open the SEO & AEO tab. Every website and funnel has it.

Will Generate schema overwrite my existing schema?

Yes. HighLevel says running Generate schema on a page that already has schema replaces it entirely, so review the result before you save and publish, or edit existing schema by hand instead.

What does Might be outdated mean?

The page has been edited and republished at least twice since its schema was created, so the schema may no longer match the page.

Does schema I added in the page builder still work?

Yes. Existing schema appears in the dashboard automatically, and edits in either place stay in sync.

What does AEO mean?

Answer engine optimization: making a page easy for AI answer tools to understand and cite. Accurate schema is one part of it.
